Job Description:
  • The DB2 system programmer provides administration and customization of IBM's relational database management system on IBM z/OS.
  • Provides the interface for programs to access data through SQL, codes programs/routines for automating database administration tasks.
  • Archives data, performs data replication and Change Data Capture.
  • Liaison between z/OS support and DB2 DBAs
  • Monitoring Documentation, updating as needed
  • CCB Process  (CTRB and CCB) per installation/upgrade
  • Daily operational status input
  • DR (primary and backup roles as it rotates thru the team)
 
Required Skills:
  • ASG TMON/CICS - Monitor for CICS
  • BMC Product Suite  - monitor and maintain 22 different products in the suite on each LPAR.
 
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience
  • 9 years of related experience
