Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Senior Enterprise Architect will design system architecture to include the hardware, software, and interfaces to support requirements. Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with the Agency enterprise architecture and applicable reference models. Analytically and systematically evaluate problems of design, integration, workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action.  Provide daily supervision and direction to staff.
 
  • Facilitates the creation of functional and technical (i.e., systems) diagrams and related artifacts;
  • Captures information related to planned data exchanges and system interconnections;
  • Facilitates the design, creation, and execution of analytical models based upon varying scenarios (e.g., workloads, data flows, system performance, etc.);
  • Ensures alignment and compliance with enterprise architecture;
  • Communicates and presents solution architectural concepts to various levels of management and stakeholders having varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Assists in the establishment of processes, templates, and tools required to develop and manage the Architecture as part of the enterprise architecture;
  • Designs interfaces between components that minimize complexity within the components. Decomposes functions to a level where they can be allocated in their entirety to system components;
  • Provides expertise in business process and analytical modeling concepts, techniques, and tools;
  • Facilitates the creation of business process models
  • Author and manage architecture change requests throughout the CR life-cycle
 
Required Experience:
 
  • 10 years or more as an individual contributor role as a systems engineer or architect
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and infrastructure requirements to provide meaningful input on system workflows, designs, and build sheets.
  • Experience with  Visio; O365, EA Sparx, and Remedy
  • Experience with integration of complex systems through the full development life cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a fast paced, mission critical programs with tight deadlines and high customer sensitivity
  • Experience with the technical aspects of enterprise software packages and custom application development
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in team environments and with other business organizations
 

Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years of experience
 
Clearance:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Public Trust, or must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
