Job Responsibilities:
Successful candidate needs to be able to document and solution complex security requirements for the existing customer infrastructure in a cost effective manner. Need to be a subject matter expert and be able to articulate expertly solutions through written or verbal methods. Be able to trouble shoot complex problems quickly and effectively.    
Skills Required:
  • Unix (Solaris Intel/SPARC) Versions 10/11
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux versions 6/7  - VCS operating systems in installing, configuring, and maintaining to include storage management, package & patch management via satellite server, and host security.
  • Security tools used for assessment, and remediation of Linux and UNIX systems.
  • Ability to document in depth information regarding security baselines, configurations, deviations, and justifications for security recommendations
  • Strong experience with automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
  • Security audit tools and Scripting ability in BASH, CSH, KSH, PERL, or PowerShell.
  • Install, configure, and manage Symantec Volume Manager for storage manager and Cluster Service software for system clustering  
  • Knowledge of STIG's and have created or modified Federal security baselines.
  • Assist in the development and test of security related aspects of the system including logging, auditing, authentication, access control, and integrity monitoring
  • Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, systems engineering, physics, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred.
  • Nine or more years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming.
  • CompTIA Security+
  • RHCSA - Red Hat Certified System Administrator
  • SSCP - Systems Security Certified Practitioner
  • CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Public Trust
  • U.S. Citizen
